A catch-all feature that is activated for a particular mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you delete an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the exact same domain name, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you run some company, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software so as to receive only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all functionality can be activated easily if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in your account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a tiny icon handily located directly next to each one of them. With only a single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option through the menu that will come into sight. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
